Each unique flower holds a special beauty created exclusively to reveal the Glory of it’s maker. I just love this picture of the sunflower. It was taken by our then 12 year old grandson, Caleb. He captured the bold ascent of this little beauty reaching up into the healing blue sky and glorious sunshine.
Our lives are much like this beauty. We are surrounded by opportunities every day that cause us to choose to either rise up and live above the circumstances or remain under the weight of negativity and fear. We, like the flower, can set our gaze and thoughts on things above. And then break free and go higher.
Philippians 4:8 in The Passion Translation says, “So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising Him always.”
There is so much to be thankful for. Let’s focus on all of the beauty that surrounds us and not what we feel isn’t right with our world. Turn those concerns into times of prayer and not worry. He is Faithful. His peace is His reward for seeking Him.
